Jessica Winchcombe has focused this body of work around her research on armor and protective mechanisms. The works are made with thin strands of leather threaded onto silver wire and finished with silver clasps. Artist Statement: "I have been interested in skin for some time now. Finding it fascinating how individual's skin holds their history. I use leather in this way to tell my own versions of stories."
