Artist Profile of Penelope Barnhill
Penelope Barnhill's interest in jewellery was obvious from an early age. As a child she was discovered dismantling her Grandmother's extensive collection to satisfy her curiosity.

Many years later there followed a Diploma in Visual communications/Craft Design and long periods of workshop experience in the studios of established jewellers.

Penelope has developed a very distinctive style and her love of multi media has encouraged her to experiment with many materials. At present she works mainly with silver, fine gold, quenched copper, roses and stone. She fabricates her pieces through a variety of methods - forges, twists, melts, solders, winds and sculpts as necessity dictates.

She finds it humbling and intensely rewarding to see her work being chosen, worn and loved with confidence.
